Karen, Patterico has a essay up that does a great job of discussing bias in a way you will like. Cori Dauber comments on it.

"It uses this technique of alternative wording so effectively that I thought it was something well worth sharing. When passive voice is used, and how point of view is deployed, are particularly important questions when looking at the way news articles are worded, and his lining up two alternative versions of one article, one from the Post itself, and one that he's written, is very effective. This matters because so often an article will have all the relevant information, allowing defenders to question how any bias could possibly be present. The post is a bit long, but well worth a careful read."
