if he believes it ,,, is it a lie.. ? I had guy working for me one time. Very bright, but i found out he would tell you anything you wanted to hear. He was very convincing, straight face. I caught him so many times changing positions that i believed he didn't know he was doing it. I suspected he had some kind of mental , chemical problem. When confronted he seemed shocked , taken by surprise, not confrontational. I moved on but always felt there was medical problem and suggested he see a doctor.
