Andrew: Interesting you should bring up Ligand.

A comparison between Ligand and Ariad may be an interesting exercise. At first glance and at a superficial level, the two companies approach drug targeting in a similar fashion. They've both been recommended highly by the investment community and they both have pathetic balance sheets. Each also has its own thread where believers sing to the choir.

I'll attempt a comparison over the next couple of days. After all, that's the objective of this thread.
