I was born in FL. Basically moved this area for business reasons. I don't think I'll be here much longer. I really wanted to live in the Keys but thats not what it used to be either. Bulging at the seams, no buildable land and skyrocketing prices on existing homes. Before it's over all the livable land in FL will be packed and that will just leave the everglades. If they can figure a way to de-muck that they'll fill that up too.
As more and more storms hit, insurance rates will rocket. I can see mobile home parks being restricted or banned in costal zones. The last of the old Floridians will be SOL. FL will truly become for the rich only and the federal government will be happy to subsidize their appetite to live in coastal flood zones.
