John, If you spend as much time with Indians that I have, you will know that most of them are not on the government dole, are extremely patriotic, and vote Republican, because they cannot stand the lying, and misrepresentation, that the Demo candidates put out. A large population of Indians are veterans, and at each powwow that I have been to, they salute the veterans of the Viet Nam war, as well as every other war, except for the desecration done to them by the white europeans moving west without regard for the property rights that were thousands of years old. For what it's worth, most of them are devout Christians.
They really don't need to beg from the government. Their casinos are getting them all of the white man's money they need, not to mention the rent paid for the pipe line crossing the Navaho nation. The Cherokee, are actually, buying back the land, at today's prices, that was stolen by the white settlers.
As for the government employees, that do little for their paycheck, and those on welfare, you are right on target. |
