Golf Grinders: Another record fallen?

[I'm not exactly sure where this stands, but I think Tiger has held]

Tiger Woods equals world-ranking record August 9

Tiger Woods has now been the world's No. 1-ranked golfer for 331 weeks, tying the record long held by Greg Norman. ... The record is for holding No. 1 at any time. Norman had the ranking many times between 1986 and 1998. Woods already has the record for the longest consecutive stretch as No. 1 -- 261 weeks. He had been ranked No. 1 several times and then took the top spot in 1999 and hasn't given it up since. ... Ernie Els is No. 2, close behind. Either Els or No. 3 Vijay Singh, a four-time winner this year, could take the lead from Woods if they place much higher than him in the PGA Championship this week. ... Masters champion Phil Mickelson is No. 4 and Davis Love III is fifth.

On Friday with some grinding and scrambling he extended his consecutive PGA cuts streak to 129.
