I think you meant Florio and McGreevy. In any case, in a state like New Jersey, there's really not a big difference between Ds and Rs, perhaps on social issues to some extent. Both are big government parties who spend like there's no tomorrow. Kind of like the big difference between the Ds and Rs on the national level. I'm really having a hard time telling the difference these days. It really comes down to social issues, which is one of the reasons the Ds are having a hard time in middle America. The Ds have lost their edge on economic issues, now people can focus more on social issues. As far as economics go, the Rs do a fantasic job of outspending and out socializing our society than the Ds. I mean, there's absolutely nothing "conservative" about how this current crop of Republicans is running our government. Huge new programs like the Medicare drug benefit and huge budget deficits. All of which benefit their wealthy benefactors in the drug industry and banking industry who profit from the interest on the debt. Kind of like Nixon expanding Democratic programs like food stamps, outdoing the Ds at their own game. American politics is so narrow, that it's laughable.
