JDN, one of my Econ professors taught a course on the 'Marxist theory of economics'.... (The guy actually looked like Marx!) I'm a Capitalist, and Free Trader, and we argued every single day in class, sometimes quite loudly. Most of the class shrank-back in horror as we argued every day --- on most every point. (Much of the class too chicken to say anything, they just sat their like logs and quivered....) At the end of the term, after the last class, as I was leaving, the Professor came over to me (and I thought: here it comes!) (I had long ago reconciled myself to the idea that he might fail me because of my outspoken questioning of all his views.) The guy surprised me. He said that he'd 'really enjoyed all our arguments'... and he asked me to take other classes with him. (In the mail, I got an 'A+'.)
