Heard a discussion among Liberals immediately following the Dem Convention. They were annoyed that Kerry gave that corny salute & "reporting for duty" salutation. Both Dems said they were strongly against the Iraq War and were outraged that their nominee for Pres portrayed himself as a "warmonger." Every time Kerry tries to capitalize on his controversial medals & military escapades, it backfires with his naive, liberal voting base.
