KLP, As a rule, the kind of people that become parts of protest groups, are those that have nothing else to do, and want to make a scene to call attention to themselves as much as the cause they profess to be protesting, or supporting. If they don't get enough attention one way, they will surely try another, and with most of them, violence is an option from the git go.

IMO, the police should treat them just like ordinary rioters, if the get out of hand. Bloomberg had better keep his police officers, and fire fighters, happy, or he could have a real mess on his hands. Those two groups are vital to the safety of any city, town, or berg, in the nation.
