I was responding to your post because it was disingenuous. You deal in half-truths.

Interestingly enough, Phillips, certainly no fan of the Bush family, uses the word "probably" when he suggests that the Bath funds came from bin Laden family members. To the best of my knowledge, and I could be wrong, no one has provided any hard evidence as to the actual source of the funds. Everyone assumes that they came from the bid Laden family.

Even if it did come from the family, who cares? The investments were made in either 1979 or 1980, a period when our relationship with Saudi Arabia was a lot less complicated. Jimmy Carter had started to arm the Afghan insurgents during that period. Wow, perhaps we have a Carter-bin Laden connection. That's the type of half-truth that is your specialty.

In his book, Richard Clarke takes credit for influencing the appropriate decision makers to provide Stingers to the Afghan rebels. Wow, perhaps we have a Clark-bin Laden connection.

You either have no historical perspective, or you chose to ignore context. Take you pick.
