<<great article well written, amazing the realotors can get away with that, seems pretty clearly anti-trust.>>

Yeah, and probably plagiarized from about a million similar articles which have sung the same old song for decades. I guess that writer or his publisher thinks he has developed some new material.

Really, people........you either must have a physical disability or a nonworking phone system to not be able to overcome the complaints that this writer was complaining about. If people can buy and sell homes without Realtor assistance, the world makes this possible. It's done every single day. It's also done for less money than the writer says it is.

In fact, this subject has been covered in seminar-length right here on this thread for a couple years--oughta be boring by now, but I guess nothing is boring when it can provoke a good bitching session or two.

And to reiterate what has been written here before, there are good reasons that the multiple listing system continues to be held in the hands of people willing to pay its high costs and willing to work to maintain its data integrity. That's why it survives and benefits all who use it--including buyers and sellers. Without it, they'd all be casting around in the dark.

Actually, some buyers and sellers do cast around in the dark, but that's their problem. I hope to never make it my problem.
