Is there any of the portions of the Fact Check that you disagree with? Is this statement incorrect:

A group funded by the biggest Republican campaign donor in Texas began running an attack ad Aug. 5 in which former Swift Boat veterans claim Kerry lied to get one of his two decorations for bravery and two of his three purple hearts.

The real thing that seems to be sticking in your craw is the fact that Democrats are FINALLY as well funded as the Republicans. An obscene amount of money is being spent, by both sides, which may be the real crime.

Should the 527 loophole be closed? Possibly.

The real question that Republicans should be asking themselves is: why have the Democrats suddenly turned into a money raising machine, actually matching and possibly exceeding the wealthy Republicans? I believe it is a reflection of the newly aroused left, which has seen the policies of Bush destroy the credibility and fiscal futre of this country. It should, and probably does, scare the holy bejeezus out of Rove et al.

The Rove machine has slung mud for years now. FINALLY, the nation is reacting to this sort of smear. Finally, standing up to the bullying, whispering, lying tactics that smeared John McCain and Max Cleland.

Comeupance has arrived for Rove.
