Okay, let's make it a federal issue now and reverse what Bush said in 2000.

Once again - - Marriage has been a national issue because A - When a couple are married in one state the other states are supposed to recognize their marriage, and B - The federal government gives benefits to married people.

WHY? WHY? WHY can you not keep your noses out of someone else's business?

I'm not trying to stick my nose in to their business. They can have any kind of relationship they want. The demand for gay marriage isn't a request for freedom of action, they already have that.

Some GOP guy locally is complaining about viewing porno on the net. I thought that was perfectly legal.......now he says it isn't and wants to tighten up the law so porno can not be viewed by people locally.

The opinion that we should heavily restrict or outlaw pornography is neither exclusive to Republicans, nor shared by me.

I am sick to death of the GOP telling me what I can and can not do in the privacy of my own home.

The "gay marriage" issue has nothing to do with the privacy of any one's home or what they do there. Laws against consensual sodomy that I didn't support and that have since been struck down did. Not only did I not support those laws but I imagine I would go further then you about what I would allow in the privacy of someone's home, OTOH while the sphere of things I would make illegal is smaller then most I don't think that everything that is or should be or might be legal is automatically deserving of recognition and support from the government or from society.

If we vote in gay marriage then fine, but I don't think it should be imposed by judges.
