Doesn't look like Dave has posted any of today's or yesterday's changes, so I'll do the honors.

Most of my work the past couple of days has been behind the scenes. I was checking for potential problems with intra-thread message-numbering and found that I was missing about 8000 messages. They got brought over this morning. I still haven't determined if we've got any intra-thread message-number quirks but will check it after the missing-message finder completes its current double-check run. FWIW, it's found no messages missing in the first 13 million. Should be done in another hour.

I've also been working on broadening the scheduled import routine to cover a lot more ground and still have a number of things to add to it.

That means that there will be more elements of the development site that'll revert or disappear with each import. Like the number of unread messages in a thread, for example.

Speaking of which, on to the changes I've made recently:

1. Most of the site is now correctly distinguishing between premium and non-premium members.

2. If you hit the number of new messages in a thread from your SubjectMarks page, the number of unread messages is reset.

3. While reading messages, there's a link available that says "Mark as Last Read". If you're a Premium member, hitting this link will mark that as the last post you read in the thread (SubjectMarks will show the number of posts newer than that one) and take you back to the SubjectMarks page. It's very handy and we've had it on iHub for a long time. Once you get used to it, pretty tough to live without it.

4. It has a variation that iHub's version doesn't have. If you're reading a thread that isn't in your SubjectMarks, and you hit the Mark as Last Read link, that thread gets added to your SubjectMarks.

5. Messages that had been submitted with the "Use Fixed Font" checked now display as fixed font on Dev. That posting option won't exist on Dev. Most people who need it likely know how to use the < pre ></ pre > tags. If they don't, they only need look to the right for "Message formatting hints".

I think that's about it. For now. I've got a pretty big to-do list, most of which are available at the link Dave has provided (very, very nice work!!!), and a lot of which are just written down as the items I intend to get done this week before heading to the racetrack Thursday.

Edit: 14.5 million messages processed now and still none missing.
