Larry,

You do make a good point about the vision of America between the two candidates. I'm an independent so have not loyalty to either party. I don't vote party. I vote for the person who has the ability to make positive changes not the one who promises to solve every problem and supply your every need.

I haven't agreed with everything both foreign and domestic GW has done as prez. What will be the real difference if JK is elected? He has made some comments recently that concern me about what he really stands for or would do as prez. The statement about bring troops home in 6 months is not only irresponsible, but counter productive. If the enemy believes we will pull out in an announced time frame what message does that send? What does the Iraqi Gov. think of someone who looks to be cutting and running before stability has been achieve? The UN can't do the job yet JK seems to give them(UN) much more ability than they have. Now if JK really doesn't mean to pull out in 6 months then why did he say it? To get votes from the antiwar voters? Also his comment about sensitivity… overall picture? Let's keep in mind the reasons why the terrorists are against us. We don't share the same values as they do when it comes to freedom. In war you fight to win not be sensitivity to those who want to see Americans dead by the thousands.

JK has also said if he were prez he would get more international support. From where? Who really thinks he could get the French, Germans, Russians or China to send troops? They have all said no repeatedly. These governments were against the war primary because they had profitable deals with Iraq and didn't want to see that gone. So Mr. Kerry makes statements he can't back up with any creditable evidence to support such a statement. Why said it then? It sounds good and might convince those who don't know any better to vote for him. Bringing American troops home and getting more international help sounds all well and good, yet how can that really happen?

In regards to the swifters: there are those to praise JK and those who don't. I think there claims need to be investigated just like the records of GW were viewed and investigated by the press. Yet no news broadcaster other than FOX has even mentioned it. Wonder why? At any rate what happen some 30 years ago isn't as important as he record in the Senate and his vision of the future. JK and GW are closer together on the war in Iraq than many want to admit. After all he said he would vote again to give the prez the authority to got to war even if no WDM were found.

Other issues to consider. People blame the prez who ever it is for the economy. Any who knows about how the economic cycles work would knows the FED has much more control over jobs via regulation of interest rates than the president. Yet JK promises to create 10 million new jobs? How? Ever consider he might just be making up numbers to make you think he has some magic policy to create jobs? If a prez could create jobs like most have promised there would be 0% unemployment. How better to get votes than to give out jobs too all who are seeking employment. Job losses over the past several years are a result of the stock market crash, 911 and other factors beyond the control of GW. Yes a prez can effect the economy with trade policies, tax cuts(or increases), regulations, etc. but don't be fooled into thinking just because a party change in the White House will make your stocks go up and private sector jobs stop disappearing.

This election is important both for domestic tax policy, foreign policy and the Supreme Court. The next prez will likely be nominating at least 3 if not more justices that will have a profound effect on decisions in the years to come. I would rather err on the side of the man who I know will do what he says vs one who keeps changing depending what the thinks will get votes. Now isn't the time for indecisive leadership.
