Why do you see the glass half empty instead of half full? Because I'm a realist, not a believer in fantasies. Have you heard about the growing rebel forces in Iraq? Also consider. You can't take a people from brutal dictatorship to a democracy "American style". Any people of any country have a distinct "group" personality. The Iraqi's are not suited to three branches of government like the US. It took us a political evolution over centuries to get to the constitution. When we finally got to it we were ready for it. But the Iraqi's are not. They are only ready to fight; first us, then each other. Democracy in Iraq is an unrealistic pipe dream. It would be a miracle to get them to adopt a parliamentary form of government. But that, I think, is what is best suited for them, and them for it.
