Just a reminder that the President doesn't "command" the American people; the President is elected to serve them. It's true that he's the Commander in Chief, but of the nation's armed forces, not of the people. The armed forces serve the people in the defense of the nation; they don't command them. If you're looking for someone to "command" the people, you're in the wrong country. This is a democracy, dedicated to freedom, not a nation of people looking for a leader to command them. The President serves the people. If you don't feel you're being well served, you can vote him out. If you want to be commanded, you can look for a military dictatorship that suits your needs.
