Knowing the true face of war, what REALLY happens, means that a leader will understand the consequences of his actions. Bush clearly did not understand, and that is why Iraq is so screwed up. Because he listened to Wolfowitz, like LBJ listened to McNamara, and got us into an unwinnable war for the wrong reasons while bankrupting us, literally and morally.
