PRIVATE INVESTOR ACQUIRES 2.6 MILLION RUBICON SHARES THROUGH MARKET PURCHASES

Rubicon Minerals Corp. advises that the company has been informed that Carlos Pavao, a Toronto-based private investor and financier, has accumulated 2.6 million shares of Rubicon in the market for investment purposes. In total, Mr. Pavao now holds in excess of 5 per cent of the total issued and outstanding shares of Rubicon and, accordingly, he has made the appropriate filings with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission.
