Once the shock of 9/11 wore off, Laura Bush must have felt terribly disappointed that the War on Terror would replace Educational Reform as GW's priority. It was a sad day for the country as well, in more ways than the tragedy of so many lives lost. Bush's plan for raising school standards was long overdue. It had to be placed on the backburner.
