what's the big deal about mud slinging. i think both parties should declare open season on anything (like it tacitly already is), and toss as many bombs as the 527s want to. kerry has the most to lose, because bush has had everything negative about him spread out in full color for quite a while. kerry will eventually be called upon (hundreds of times) to do the form 180 to have the navy records released, and that will be quite interesting. only the appearance of political correctness has stopped networks like fox from demanding it already. i don't think the kerry supporters trying to play victim of the swift boat vets will do any good. also i predict this swift boat thing will just be a shouting match until/unless somebody who was There from the swift boat side steps up and says some eyewitness account info that is counter to the kerry side of the story. i wonder if the swift boat vets are planning to dribble that info out before or after the debates (if they have it).
