Rassman is the only Green Beret Officer i ever heard of having awards and decorations as a primary duty.

Something smells real bad at the river.


It surely would be interesting to know why Rassman was on that boat.

Was he there on some official assignment?

Or, did Kerry invite him along, hoping for some action along the way, action for which he might just get written up for a medal?

Pure speculation on my part, but given Kerry's proven history of aggrandizing and self-promotion, it would not be out of the question.
