Spellcheck/Preview is actually a ways down the list because of the amount of work involved.

Personally, I don't ever use Preview/Spellcheck. But I know I'm in the minority. Back when this was Brad's baby and he first implemented Preview, I asked him if we could have a user-config item to control whether or not Preview was checked by default.

He hard-coded it so that it was unchecked for me and checked for everyone else.
