"Politics is spoken here. This is not a seminary. Here is some food for thought"
Deceit has benefit in the short term and may be used as a source of temporal power.
It is much more expedient to gain, and to wield, power via deceit than it is through honorable accomplishment. If you don’t believe me, go out and buy some trophies or run off some fake awards and degrees at kinkos. You can be hired, appointed, or elected to prestigious positions via your mocked up accomplishments.
However, the benefits of dishonesty are short lived.
Eventually you will be held accountable for your actual conduct and for the kind of character represented by the commemorative ornaments. When that happens and you do not actually have the persona represented by the artifacts on your mantle, you will find your self taken to task for your falsehood.
When you deny the clear truth of your being, you darken the world for the people who are touched by your deception. However, light always vanquishes darkness and truth always defeats falsehood. You and I are accountable for what is … for eternity.
If you choose to follow those who pave a path of deception, enjoy your short lived gains. For those who reject the path of mendacity: our existence may at times commemorate virtue and honor, while simultaneously being provoked by base and vile injustices. We will claim autonomy, direction, and responsibility for the condition of a unique soul, while maintaining a universal obligation toward our relationship with the one and the many of creation. We will thrive and survive in the long run.
The Truth always wins in the long run. When it does, those on the path of darkness always pay for the damage they have wrought.
