<font color=blue>"Again, I am not arguing for the truthfulness of Kerry's statements but for the probably of error in the swifties statements."<font color=black>

A couple of points on your POV AM.

First, Kerry has an established history for intentional
prevarications, distortions & outright lies, including his
Vietnam experiences. He has been tripped up himself by
authoring varying accounts in his own books or during
interviews throughout the years of his experiences in
Vietnam. That makes Kerry a less than credible witness to
events that establish his self promoted "heroism".

Kerry filed a number of reports that directly led to
medals for himself or protected himself from scrutiny from
accidently killing a child, etc. Often these reports were
filed unbeknownst to others who were present at those very
same incidents. The Swift Boat Vets have pointed out, that
upon inspection of said reports, what Kerry reported would
have required other reports to be filed. And those reports
should corroborate Kerry's reports. IOW, if our guys
received enemy fire, a specific report had to be filed for
every incident. If there were any casualties, a casualty
report was mandatory for each incident.

The Swift Boat Vets have noted that for several of Kerry's
medals he received per Kerry's filed reports, there were
no such enemy fire or casualty reports, meaning there was
no hostile fire & there were no casualties even though
Kerry's reports & the medals he received for them
necessitated enemy fire &/or casualties to have occurred.

These are very relevant facts where contemporaneous
reporting was mandatory, yet none existed, calling into
question the veracity of Kerry's surreptitiously filed
reports.

Then the Swift Boat Vets added their personal
recollections of the actual events, they also provided
supporting documentation & sworn affidavits. Often, more
than one Swift Boat Vet was present at these incidents.
Their sworn eyewitness testimony is consistent with all
but the records filed by Kerry & often are corroborated by
Kerry's later conflicting recollections in his own
journals, books & his interviews.
