It's a lose/lose for shrub. He didn't condemn the LunaticBoaters when he had the chance.
Now, if he does so, it will make him look like he was clinging to their spew until being forced away. Politically, that translates to weakness...Rove can't have that, now, can he?

Opting for lose/lose is shrub's most salient characteristic.
In the case of the LunaticBoaters, lose/lose manifests as purely political.
BUT a majority of crucial options that shrub takes to the lose/lose side consistently affect the entire country.
He's got to go. He's an habitual loser.

shrub's propensity toward lose/lose is why the Borg have been forced to come to this thread in an effort to cloud it.
The people who have submitted to the Borg directive might realize they've been "assimilated" if they stop for a minute and see that they're going knee-jerk to defend obvious lose/lose.
