Cebridge Closes Acquisition of USA Media Systems

ST. LOUIS --(Business Wire)-- Aug. 19, 2004 -- Cebridge Connections has closed its previously announced acquisition of approximately 40,000 customers - in California, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington - from USA Media Group, LLC. Cebridge now serves approximately 480,000 total customers in 23 states.
Cebridge executives said they plan to upgrade a number of the newly acquired systems to provide high-speed Internet access. In systems where the cable plant has already been upgraded, Cebridge will launch other advanced services, including high-definition television (HDTV), video-on-demand (VOD), and cable telephony.
Daniels & Associates, industry-leading specialists for media and telecommunications mergers and acquisitions, represented USA Media in their transaction. Terms were not disclosed.
Cebridge Connections provides basic and digital cable television service and high-speed Internet access. Its approximately 480,000 business and residential customers live and work in mix of suburban, small-town, and rural communities. |
