Ted. Need firewood? I moved from my last location, only about 10 miles, but now have 25 acres back in the pine forest next to the Pike National Forest. About 1 acre is fenced for horses. We had 2 but sold them thinking we were going back to Texas, but after careful thought, dropped that idea. This summer I cut about 4 cords for the wood burning stove. I push over the dead trees with a tractor, carry off the slash and chainsaw to length. The wife and I split wood with an axe. It's how we stay in shape. No splitter for us.
