Nadine-- like the author, I'm not bitter about the war. Spent 2 years of my youth in SEA. What is disturbing is Kerry being a pathetic liar. Only using the war and those who fought, were wounded, and died their for his ambition and fratification! While in combat zones about 6 weeks he was able to use and abuse the system for a ticket home after 4 1/2 months, in essence ran like a coward. Once home-- he he lied and degraded those still serving by being against the war. Now he wants to be a hero. He does not know the meaning of the word. A vet (at least one not paid by him or the Dems) has to be appalled, ashamed of, and hurt by him. At every turn he is using the vets and war like a 2 bit whore-- wish he would use his hand instead of his mouth for his self gratification. He may have had a tiny bit of respect if he had admitted he was a coward and did what he did to hide from war- then shut-up and been happy to marry millionaires. At least Clinton did not use women for money too,,,
