CB, And on MSNBC, Mathews and guests were claiming this would hurt Bush - basically their hope. They are trying to portray it as rich Republicans attacking a Vet. No mention of all the 527's giving the Dems a 90/10 advantage in negative ads. No apology for the Hitler ads. If Bush = SwiftVets, then its very clear that Kerry = Michael Moore, Moveon.org and worse. Kerry should sign his 180, get Theresa to release her tax records and get the bad news out of the system before the election. Honesty is always the best policy here. Kerry is probably nothing more than a serial exaggerator with a lousy PR guy who tried to make a mountain out of a molehill (forgetting how what he did immediately after the war might impact his fellow naval officers). Imagine if he had made a statement up front about youthful indiscretion on going overboard in opposition back in the 70's. A little contrition might have prevented the whole flap. John
