I'd emend it to read: What Israel needs is a sudden terrorist attack by Iran that would suddenly galvanize American public opinion. The Mossad has the capacity to provoke or even pull off such a terrorist attack. They have done it before.

I guess the assassination of the US President or another 911 will do the trick....
