Cooters, what is your target price and how long are you willing to wait for it ?

Around $10, 12-18 months. I followed Nortel's wireless business in the process of following QCOM, I was able to make a lot of contacts both at Nortel and with carrier engineers that work on Nortel equipment. They are gaining market share, although they are bidding aggressively to do it, plus they are very well positioned in a lot of emerging wireless technologies. When the restatement issue hit and the stock tanked, I jumped on it based solely on the wireless division. Whatever might come of their VoIP efforts would be icing on the cake.

I plan to be patient into 2005. One of the things I will be looking at closely is how well they are able to parlay some of these low contract bids into future business. For example, they probably aren't making squat on their AWS WCDMA contract for the 4 cities they have up and running, but if that results in a major WCDMA/HSDPA contract from Cingular, then their strategy is working. Same for India. Same for their partnership in China. There might be a LTBH opportunity here, and there might not be. Hard to tell at this point, but I don't think it takes a lot of imagination to hold it in the $3's..........
