Countering the SmearVets is difficult because there really is nothing concrete to their arguments. Most of their statements are just conclusory claptrap. When they state a "fact" it is never supported by evidence; it is either a distant memory or hearsay.

It reminds me of the Bush Administration's claims about WMD. It was mostly conclusory statements with a few facts. The facts (like the aluminum tubes) were easily refuted, but the Bushies just threw more garbage at the wall, confusing the American public ... and we went to war.

This is the Bush tactic. Smear. Smear. Smear. I hope the American public finally realizes just how despicable these people really are. And I agree: this is the most shameful political stunt I've ever seen.
