I would also venture a guess that if Israel were located
in a corner of Australia, its funding by the US since its inception would perhaps have been max 2% of what it has been.

I believe the US military believe having Israel located where it is, is very useful and the US politicians like being able to collect vast sums from the American Jewish community for their campaigns and then dish out PUBLIC funds to Israel.

But remove the oil from the equation and it just doesn't work.

But at this point the politicians are the CAPTIVES of
the military-industrial complex, the oil industry and
the American Jewish Community, each acting in its own
special interest.

And America is held hostage to the whole ugly group of them!
