International Fund for Agricultural Development Relies on PC DOCS' Suite Of Document Management Products For Its Worldwide Operations
TORONTO, August 25 /PRNewswire/ -- PC DOCS, Inc., a subsidiary of PC DOCS Group International Inc. (Nasdaq: DOCSF, Toronto: DXX) and the provider of the world's most popular enterprise document management solutions, today announced that the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD), a specialized agency of the United Nations based in Rome (Italy), has selected PC DOCS' suite of document management products to provide a central repository for information resources.
IFAD will be using DOCS Enterprise Suite(TM), DOCS Unplugged(TM), Acrobat Exchange and CyberDOCS(TM) to manage the documents associated with its multilateral-funded programs. The agency will be deploying the solution to its 350 employees working at Headquarters in Rome and those traveling throughout the world. With DOCS Unplugged, PC DOCS' document management system for laptops, users will have dial-in access to documents from any location. The solution will be integrated with Microsoft Office, cc:Mail, COSTTAB, a software system created by the World Bank, and a customized message handling system developed specifically for the agency.
``IFAD is a sister organization to the International Monetary Fund and provides wide-ranging development assistance around the globe,'' said Scott Kadlec, president and chief operating officer of PC DOCS, Inc. ``IFAD has a dual role as an International Financial Institution (IFI) and specialized United Nations agency involved in poverty alleviation projects throughout developing countries. IFAD's document management deployment will enable the agency to be more responsive and will set an example for similarly complex financial institutions worldwide. IFAD's adoption of PC DOCS' products underscores the power and functionality of the product line and PC DOCS' leadership in developing top-tier solutions for the financial and government segments worldwide.''
IFAD chose to work with PC DOCS after evaluating the capabilities of competing vendors because the company offered a complete, integrated solution that worked well with existing tools, supported mobile users and enabled easy installation. |
