I think I need more forgiveness from you and the people
on this thread than they will ever need from me.

I am just really being convicted about the strife most Christians
accept as a part of Christian duty - I now see it as sin and
a house deeply divided.

The divisions in doctrine will continue as they have I suspect.

Your faith in this divided church astounds me - but apart from
that I can say nothing because I have lived such a divisive life myself.

Being in China finished opening my eyes to what even Shalom
asked me if it did not convict me - that being that this place
was surely "a house of divided cards"
as is all the house of Christ

Utterly Divided

I used to believe that the road to unity was purity of doctrine
I could see the error of "agreeing to disagree" as a licence to
private interpretations and an encouraging of error.

Unfortunately I saw the division as being derived from difference
in doctrine and failed to see it on the spiritual level.

I know that may sound like some kind of "spiritual one upmanship"

Please believe me when I say I am not coming from there.

Seeing people who have nothing in China who are far kinder
than anyone I know here - left me quite naked before God.

I do not expect you to "share" or "identify" with what I am saying.

I am sorry for throwing stones at you for doing exactly
what I have done for 20 years - along with all my "friends"

Anyway, I have as usual rattled off everything in my foolish head.

Basically all I wanted to say was - I hold nothing against you Greg.
