Yes, I saw the Democratic convention (enough with the Republican Newspeak nonsense). I don't like them focusing on Nam either. It's symptomatic of just how militaristic our society has become. Both parties are trying to outwar each other. We have real problems in America that need addressing in 2004, not who did what when and where in Viet Nam 35 years ago. Give me a break already. The war is over, it's in the history books. I was a big mistake. Could we talk about real contemporary issues for a change? That's what's wrong with our political process today, they get bogged down in nonsense like debating events from a generation ago, when we have problems today that need to be addressed.
