<Amusing myself, just as you are. >

I like your honesty on that.

<Testing the waters to see if there is really such a thing as support for Kerry>

Kerry has been my #1 choice for President of the United States for OVER four years. I was opposed to the Democratic Party making such a weak nomination as Al Gore in 2000. I thought, though, that the Democratic Party would engage in collective suicide by nominating a Massachusetts "liberal" like John Kerry. I questioned the merits of the idea until I began to realize the lack of depth of Howard Dean's base earlier this year. Then I saw John Kerry starting to take a more practical centrist position for "electability" and to defeat the most reactionary and dangerous President of my lifetime.

<as opposed to hatred for Bush>

I will have to admit, I totally detest the man. I detest the ground upon which he walks.

I will also have to admit that, like most people who are going to vote for Kerry, I want to defeat Bush more than I want to elect Kerry. Even though I think Kerry would be the best President among those in public life (Bill Bradley would my ONLY preference), the time has really come to rid ourselves of the scourge of the current Republican Party, one that uses a simple minded fool to front a wildly mistaken ideology.
