<<<Like you, Kerry believes that "everybody does it.">>>

I have never met Kerry and I don't know that much about him, but I will bet anything that he does not believe that.

As for me, I think I have been pretty consistent in believing that most people are not evil. Not only that, but I have been consistent in believing that the overwhelming majority of people on earth are not evil. They want pretty much what I want - peace and prosperty.

I personally may not be a terrific person, but overall I am not a bad person - but I don't believe I am that much better than most of humanity.

My point here has been that war is hell. That war will make people do things they ordinarly would not do.

This is especially true for young soldiers when they are put in harms way. To me, 19 year olds are really not much more than babies, in terms of what they have experienced in life. When we give them a gun and give them the authority to kill, and make decisions that effect life and death - bad things could happen.

It is not really fair for us to do this to them. That is just my opinion. But don't be afraid. I am just a nobody and my opinion does not account for much. I am not going to force you to change your mind.
