The Democratic Party under Bill Clinton veered more to the center where "Scoop" Jackson roamed the terrain.

I don't agree at all, though there is one Dem who has shown the gumption necessary to confront the kinds of threats which we face, Joe Lieberman. I'm a Republican, but if the Dems had nominated Lieberman, I would have seriously considered voting for him instead of Bush.

Instead the Dems went schizoid (again) with their love-fest with Dean, a screwball who needs to be put on IV Prozac, followed by the nomination of Kerry, a gutless, facile, pompous egotist who's making some very dubious claims to gallantry in Vietnam the center piece of his campaign. His career as a Senator, as you are well aware, is utterly devoid of merit. There are dozens of more accomplished Senators whose shoes Kerry does not deserve to shine.
