CJ, Snopes is basing its conclusion on books whose authors get their stories from Kerry himself. Kind of a circular argument here, but I suspect Snopes needs to update that specific page with the allegations being raised by the Swifties.

Meanwhile, John O'Neill is saying that Rood's recount of the incident doesn't conflict factually with what the Swifties are saying about it:
