You would be SO much better to drop the Purple Hearts.

Kenneth, there is no dishonor in taking entitlements or even in actively seeking them. But the public holds "war heroes" to higher standards.

Expressions like "was grazed" and "All I felt was a burning sensation" do your candidate more harm than good.

Until John (Reporting for Duty) Kerry forced this into the open, the average person assumed that Purple Hearts are only awarded for death, loss of limb, or serious injuries that involve blood-spilling and hospitalization.

It would have so much better for Kerry (and all the other Vietnam vets with P/Hs) if the basis of his three Purple Hearts had been left to the imagination.

For your own good, don't keep rubbing people's noses in this.
