Interesting view

I thought the real reason for the electoral
college system was to preserve the two party
system .. didn't Perot get 18% of the popular vote but not
a single electoral vote as he failed to carry a
single state ?? If all electoral college votes were
apportioned according to the percent of the popular
vote that each candidate received .. many candidates would
fail to acquire the required 270 votes to win .. throwing
elections to the House .. any election with a 3rd party
candidate would guarantee a House decision ..

Triff ..
