The other Moore, Minyon that is: As I start poking around looking into the backgrounds of the people who run the Team Kerry 527's its simply amazing that the press has chosen to ignore how deeply rooted most of the large 527's are with the Team Kerry and the DNC. Collusion is almost guaranteed.
Let's take America Coming Together's Minyon Moore, power player in the DNC and one of its most powerful PR firms Dewey Square Group:
Moore formerly served as the Chief Operating Officer of the Democratic National Committee, the world?s oldest, continuing political party, before joining DSG. Moore was directly responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of the Party?s activities, including political operations, communications, research strategy and fund-raising, as well as fiscal and administrative operations with an operating budget of $60 million. She was appointed to the position by Chairman Terence R. McAuliffe after serving as Transition Director following his election as Party Chair in February 2001.
Hmmm, of course theres not conflict here, I mean most flacks tend to work with the likes of Jill Alper (Kerry-Edwards electoral strategist), and of course no one would expect them to compare notes now would they? I mean gosh if anyone would just look at the Dewey Square roster, how could they ever think that this group had any ties to America Coming Together or the Kerry campaign, or the DNC itself? At a minimum, its at least as damaging as the weak links the Times little chart shows, except here you have principles in the Kerry campaign working in the same PR group as one of the leading democrat 527's. And as expected, there are no big 3500 word exposes on these links, nothing about the misleading attack ads that this or any of the other 527 groups have put forth, nothing.
The big question of course is, what happens when Kerry loses and the media outlets that spent all their remaining public goodwill have exhausted it on a weak candidate only to have it mean nothing? I guess the Times and their fellow "journalists" havn't thought that far ahead, or perhaps like the LATimes, they are so blinded by their ideology (see the recall coverage) that they can't see the forest through the trees, and are thus deluding themselves into thinking that everything is A-OK, and that their guys going to win. Should be entertaining to watch on Nov 2nd me thinks.
