Fascist maneuvering is that individual free thinking is suppressed, that you speak the 'party line' or you get smacked...By requesting that ads be removed, booksellers not sell the swifters book is censure..pure and simple..
I disagree that he's showing great restraint: He's publicly exhorting BUsh to tell the swifties to cut the ads, which is illegal for any candidate to do with a 527..filing with the FEC to investigate ties between Rove/Bush campaign...let's face it..none of us were born yesterday..the Dem's 527's are intimately involved with the DNC..I have no doubt that the swifties have ties to the Bush campaign in some way..that's the perverted maneuverings that our well intended campaign finance reform has been circled around..
How do you counter lies about your character: simple,imo..let the records speak for themselves..Kerry to sign his 180..will allow a factual, informed assessment for the voting public...
Remember..he made his military record the centerpiece of his nomination..his opponents naturally want to attack his strengths..
As his constituent, quite honestly, he was a 'non presence' in our lives..Teddy brought home the bacon..is engaged with the constituency, stands up for what he believes is right with a genuine passion..Kerry hasn't..
Does that make him unfit for command?...not necessarily..other factors need to be given thoughtful consideration..
Best to all of us..no matter who wins on Nov 2nd..the terrorism will not cease..we will not have access to the far away indoctrination schools where young boys are taught to hate anything remotely non-7thCentury life..
Last point..Neither the dem's, repub's nor the general American public know how to deal with this terrorism issue..while we were blissfully ignorant and enjoying our unprecendented prosperity, they were busy learning our system of thought, behaviour, technology..to use it against us..not only were we caught 'sleeping' on 9/11..we voting Americans had barely a clue of what Islam is all about.. |
