Aus population : around 16M. Illegal immigrants in Aus does not appear to be a problem, because of the remote island situation of the country. Employers are not required by law to do anything about health insurance. Theres someting called "Medicare" which a person pays out of his/her taxes : 1.5% of annual wages. It gives you the ability to be teated by a doc in hospitals/clinics etc as scheduled. If one does not like the 'public sector scheduling', one takes out Private Insurance (claimable on taxes), to have best choice & timing. There are various ways to migrate to Aus. Not all of them need a job/employment (think family reasons).
