Thank you for your post, zeta.
I see you have had *quite* a different experience than I (or most democrats) have had on the P for P thread.

May I suggest to you that what you did was simply reiterate my so-clearly-democratic point here:

so are you..that is, just another citizen..one vote

for which I am grateful. -g

It's interesting to me to hear that you feel that many democrats are acting like "blind followers", as that is how many of us feel the average American citizen has been positioned by the Bush administration wrt this "war"-- told to follow their lead, blindly. Gullibly. And with disastrous effect.

It's interesting that you consider "question<ing> a citizen's credentials during a time of war" to be "humiliating" to him, while at the same time suggesting the same of the Democratic candidate.

It's interesting that you see the vehement democratic response to the swiftvets book and ads as "fascistic". I suppose you'd prefer the democrats simply take it with a brand of wimpy passivity for which the party has been roundly criticized in years past.

I have news for you: this is *quite* a different time.

I find this spelling interesting as well:

This behaviour has tipped the balance for me

You are a "card-carrying Democrat"?
Not anymore, it seems.
