Ha, Its illegal in the US to register in more than one state - it give the person extra voting power in Federal elections. This is disliked by many who maintain and pay taxes on properties in more than one state. In addition some states require Income Taxes be paid on part-time residents. However its illegal because there is no effective way to require separate Federal, State and Local voter registrations. Now in Kumar's current case (and mine a few years ago) voting in multiple countries has no downside (other than needing to be well read). There is no World Government. So lets leave our dual-citizens alone. Its perfectly legal under Federal law. John
