haqihana, if you live abroad, you get no US medicare. If you have not contributed into SS for at least 10 years, you get no SS either. I don't see what is your problem with Kumar. He has probably paid far more US taxes than he will ever see benefits from the US, now that he moved to Australia. His reference to medicare was for the Australian equivalent to our medicare. There, "medicare" covers everybody, not just the old.
